iOS App Development

"I'm really having a hard time trying to an iOS app developer
who is worth the money and reliable enough to finish my project."

The market for iOS developers is still insanely tight, despite that in 5 years we've seen better tools and hundreds of thousands of developers register for developing in the App Store. But the reality is, its still a tough gig, and there aren't that many among the hordes of developers who have actually mastered the craft beyond the hobby level.

Interestingly, but a bit of an aside: large companies have been hesistant to commit to developing iOS talent in-house because 1) most of them have platformed on other technologies and none of them are Apple products, 2) they haven't been excited about the security implications of Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) within their networks, 3) the ROI is weak, and 4) the best developers are going to get sniped pretty fast. Due to the hesistancy of large companies being willing to invest in developing the talent, it means a much smaller pool of well-trained and highly-experienced developers. It has been a lucky and/or determined few that have been handed the opportunity to learn iOS in a real business environment.

So, we are left with few good iOS developers and strong demand, which means relatively high per-hour rates across the board. This means the only question left to ask is "If I have to pay high rates for these services, how can I make sure that I'm getting enough value for my money." Yup, I'm implying that everyone's expensive, but some of them are going to be expensive and still stink at developing apps.

So then, wouldn't it be great that if you had to pay someone, they were more than worth the money they charged you?

Well, iOS development happens to be our specialty. We "platformed" on iOS and have been building mobile apps professionally since 2011 [1] which means we have written a cadre of apps across many different disciplines.

Why are we worth what we're charging?

1) We use modern tools and are very proficient with them, which means we can cover a lot of ground very quickly. Learn more about our processes and tools.
2) We actively help you manage the scope of your project so you're not overpaying on anything that's not worth the expenditure. See more in our section on "How to Save Money on Building an App"

[1] In those early days, I was building line-of-business Windows Compact Framework apps at one of the largest private companies in the world, then cut my teeth on Phonegap when it was still a very young platform, and now have focused on iOS as the native platform of choice for ongoing development and mastery.
